April 23, 2008 | Comments: 0I’ve had this horrible migraine all day. I get headaches and migraines pretty regularly so I’m used to it for the most part, but today’s is just horrible. I can’t concentrate and meds just aren’t doing anything. Of course I ran out of Excedrin extra strength (the migraine kind doesn’t work for me) so I had to wait until I got home from work to take some. I was taking some painkillers all day, but it just wasn’t doing anything. I’m still in a lot of pain. I’m hoping that it will get at least a little better during the night so I can get some work done tomorrow. I hadn’t realized how much multitasking I do at work until today!
On better news. This last weekend my mom visited and we went shopping. I’ve been needing more furniture for my apartment, but haven’t been getting any because for the most part it would be to hard to lug it up the stairs by myself. So I ended up getting a coffee table and two end tables for the living room. I also got an amazing deal on a new sofa and it came with a free love seat! I jumped all over that deal and I’m so happy I did. I’ve been living the futon life and it just hasn’t been working for me. They are so uncomfortable for any period of time longer than say 5 minutes. So the futon is in the office/guest room and ready for guests to sleep on. So now my living room is complete. I just need a dining room table and chairs and I’m good I think. At least I have the coffee table now so I have a table. It was so annoying having to use my breakfast bar for everything. I never realized how nice tables are!
My sofa and love seat where delivered today. Thank goodness since all I had in the living room was the coffee table and end tables. It was a little empty and it was hard to watch tv without a place to sit. I took a spare chair I have out there, but it just wasn’t right. Now my living room is so cozy.
I’ve been trying to get back into the swing of things internet wise. Today I started catching up at the Qbee. I hadn’t realized how much I missed it until I started going back today. I’ll have to do some trading now.
Same Old, Same Old
April 12, 2008 | Comments: 0So it seems to be a running theme for me to say “I haven’t posted in forever!” and while I hate to repeat myself its sadly true. Almost 2 months since my last post! Its crazy and doesn’t feel like its been that long at all.
I’m pleased to say that I’m happily moved into my new job and apartment. I’m finally starting to feel settled in and comfortable with my surroundings. Since I’ve only lived in one town it was weird to try to call another home. I must say I’m happy I moved. I love the city I’m living in so much more than the other. Plus I’m just happy to be away from the community college. I’ll be happy if I never have to go to that place again.
As for my job I’m loving it also. I work with a large group of really nice and funny people. Most days are pretty enjoyable and it makes getting up in the morning much more enjoyable. The only downside is that when I come home after a long day of being creative making ads and graphics in photoshop my creativity is spent. I know I’ve settled in though because I’ve started dreaming about work. Thats always a sure sign that you are getting comfortable 
The website went through a few changes today. Mostly I was bored with the old layout. I think it may have had something to do with my never wanting to post anymore. So I made a few minor changes since I did/do like the colors that I used in the original layout. I used my 2nd favorite picture of Aly. It was taken back before we moved. She looks so cute and happy in that picture. She still looks that way, but there is something about that picture that I just love. I also changed the navigation which was an interesting and time consuming process. On another note. I accidentally deleted the last few comments made! I thought I’d mention it so people that commented don’t think I don’t like them
