Why do people get peircings on the back of their neck? It isn’t like you can see it so I don’t really get the point.

At work some representatives from each department are having to go in front of the “council” which consists of one of the owners as well as some people from administration. I guess its an annual thing, but it allows then to know what is going on in each department. Since the company has gotten really large its too hard to keep track of what is going on.

Anyways, I was happy to find out that I didn’t have to do a presentation. Then suddenly today I was told that I DO have to do a presentation. Did I mention that these are 4 hour long presentations? Yeah, I’m going to be joining two other people from the email team, so the whole four hours will not be mine, but the whole thing is still stressful. While it makes sense that I would be doing the presentation it just sucks. I had thought I’d managed to avoid the whole thing. Now I have to come up with a presentation about what my job is.

OK I’ll stop complaining and go to bead.

Edit: I think I meant bed… Can you tell I’ve been working too much?

Today was the first day back after a four day weekend. I can tell already this week is going to be VERY long. It is going to be the first full week for me since the week before Christmas. That said there is a lot of work that needs to be caught up on. Not just on my end but everyone else as well. So my list of work is getting longer and longer because of helping others and I feel the stress mounting when I hear someone say “Well ask Maggie…” and I want to crawl under my desk, because I know they want me to help them with their campaigns.

For whatever reason someone, in IT, had the bright idea to do some work on our email system at 12. It was supposed to last for 20-30 minutes. Now we all know nothing ever goes as planned. So we were without email all day and hopefully it will be up in the morning. Its a real big problem not being able to use our email. Especially for the email designers for obvious reasons. They also took down some of our other working tools and the site kept crashing. So a lot of people were having a hard time working. Why they felt they needed to do work in the middle of the day on a MONDAY I have no clue, but the person that got the idea needs to be beaten.

Well I haven’t posted in a really long time. At least not publicaly anyways I know I’m secretive. Anyways, I just haven’t been driven to actively blog in quite a while. I just haven’t really been interested in web related activities in general. I think most of my time spent online is on Facebook bothering friends Over the last few weeks I’ve been visiting message boards I haven’t visited in a long time as well as Blogs. I’m also looking at new coding techniques and just in general playing around more. Who knows where all of this will lead, but I would like to get back on the site more and just build it. I would also like to get a photo gallery back up. I haven’t been taking pictures because I lost my camera battery chargers when I moved a couple months ago and I just re-discovered them on Thursday. Thank goodness too because I was about to suck it up and buy new ones.

I got a new car!!! I was having some major car problems which started the day before Thanksgiving. The major problem being I couldn’t put gasoline in my car. My car was with my parents for over a week while a mechanic worked on it there. I couldn’t drive it home with me after Thanksgiving because there wasn’t enough gas. After doing a lot of research I found out that a part had been recalled on the Kia Sephia which caused the problem I was experiencing. We got a the part from Kia and had it installed. Then the gas tank was filled and we thought all was good. Then Christmas Eve I went to the gas station during my lunch break because I was going to stay with the parents again. Surprise! I couldn’t fill up the gastank again. I managed to get the same gas station attendant that discovered the problem. My parents came and got me which turned out to be good because I got a case of food poisoning from a piece of fudge I ate right after lunch. I didn’t know what to do with my car because I really didn’t have the money to try and fix it again, plus the car isn’t really worth it.

Luckily I got money from the sale of my grandmothers house who passed away two years ago. There had been this long struggle getting the money which I wont get into. So I got a new car!  I had decided to get a 2007 Mazda 3 which I had found online and fallen inlove with at a dealership. When I arrived on Friday though they told me that I could get a brand new 2008 Mazda 3 for about the same price. After taking a very pretty new silver Mazda on a test drive I had a new baby. It is so pretty and I never expected to get a brand new car and still amazed at the deal I got on it.
